The former Vice President and Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden is not happy about what will greet people in New York City’s Times Square. A pro-Trump super PAC called The Committee to Defend the President has made sure he won’t feel welcome.
Joe Biden’s face is now going to be plastered on a billboard in Times Square and on that billboard are quotes from his quid pro quo confession. The billboard, located at 1500 Broadway and 43rd Street, is two-sided and both sides will show a video of Biden admitting to withholding aid to Ukraine until its government fired the prosecutor looking into his son.
The Committee to Defend the President is spending $40,000 (which is cheaper than I thought) to run the billboard until March 1st and is expected to spend $5,000 on Facebook. The billboard and ad will send people to subpoenabiden.com, where they can sign a petition to force Senate Republicans to subpoena the former vice president and his son Hunter to testify about alleged corruption in Ukraine.
The quote of Biden’s quid pro quo occurred when the former vice president was at the Council on Foreign Relations and said:
“They were walking out to a press conference. I said, nah, … we’re not going to give you the billion dollars. They said, ‘You have no authority. You’re not the president—the president said’ … I said, ‘Call him.’ I said, ‘I’m telling you, you’re not getting the billion dollars.’ I said, ‘You’re not getting the billion. … I looked at them and said, ‘I’m leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money.’ Well, son of a b—-. He got fired. And they put in place someone who was solid at the time,” Biden recalled.
The super-PAC is determined to expose Biden’s corruption.
“The Biden family name is synonymous with corruption, especially in Ukraine,” Ted Harvey, the committee’s chairman, told reporters on Thursday. “Our goal is to educate Americans about the shady deals and ruthless power moves that ‘Quid Pro Joe’ executed on behalf of his son, Hunter, and at the expense of the Ukrainian government. The American people deserve to know the truth, and we are committed to sharing it with them.”
