Watch the fall of a pop star as she alienates the people that got her to stardom, ladies, and gentleman, I give you Taylor Swift.
Popstar turned left-wing nut job Taylor Swift has said that her new song “Only the Young” was written to show her disappointment in the 2018 midterm results in her state. She’s upset that Republicans took key seats in Tennessee and wants her young voters to get involved in left-wing causes.
“Only the Young” is going to be released the same time her Netflix documentary Miss Americana is on, January 31. Swift has said she wants the documentary to show she was on the “right side of history,” it will also give a look into her music career.
During an interview with Variety magazine, Swift attacked conservative politicians saying their stances are “sinister” and “so dark.”
To show just how ignorant the pop star is she attacked Republicans over their stance on policies like the Employment Non-Discrimination Act.
“When you’re saying that certain people can be kicked out of a restaurant because of who they love or how they identify, and these are actual policies that certain politicians vocally stand behind, and they disguise them as family values, that is sinister. So, so dark,” the singer said.
Last I checked especially in DC the only people getting kicked out or treated poorly at restaurants are Republicans. Like when Sarah Huckabee Sanders was told to leave the Red Hen Restaurant and Senator Ted Cruz and his wife were chased out of a restaurant.
Swift said she was really upset about the midterms, “I was really upset about Tennessee going the way that it did, obviously. And so I just wanted to write a song about it.”
“I didn’t know where it would end up. But I did think that it would be better for it to come out at a time that it could maybe hopefully stoke some fires politically and maybe engage younger people to form their own views, break away from the pack, and not feel like they need to vote exactly the same way that people in their town are voting.”
Here are some of the lyrics of her new song: “You did all that you could do / The game was rigged, the ref got tricked / The wrong ones think they’re right / We were outnumbered — this time.”
However, Swift has said that the song will not be released as a single.
“I don’t see it as a single,” Swift said. “I just see it as a song that goes with this film. I don’t see it as a ‘let’s go make a music video and try to see what this does at radio’ single.”
Of course, you don’t because you would ostracize your fan base and she knows it. Hollywood and the pop culture crowd were turning on Swift because she was a snobby girl that sang about her boyfriends. So what does she do? Enter politics so the left now adores her. Give me a break!
